The following rules will govern all transactions between BoyleSports (“BoyleSports”, “we”, “our” or “us”) and you, the customer, on BoyleSports.com ( http://www.boylesports.com) (referred to as the “Website”) or (our” Fon-A-Bet Service”) by telephoning (Irish Customers freephone) 1800 44 00 00 and (UK customers freephone) 0800 44 00 00.*
(*Please note that separate betting rules apply to wagers placed in our licensed betting offices in the Republic Of Ireland).
Please note when you open an account with us for the Internet Service or Fon-A-Bet Service (an “Account”), you must accept the terms and conditions of the Agreement applicable to those services advised to you at that time. These are the BoyleSports Betting Rules referred to in the Agreement relating to the Website and our Fon-a-Bet service.
CONDITIONSOF ACCEPTANCE OF BETS
Our acceptance of bets from you is subject to the following rules.
General Rules
A) In the event of a multiple dead heat, stakes will be divided in proportion to the number of that tie in the multiple dead heat.
B) The onus is on the customer to ensure the correct amount of money is given for each bet, and received back for each successful claim.
C) All Special Offers/Promotions are only available to customers with a registered address from Ireland or The United Kingdom unless otherwise stated. Please see individual special offer/promotion terms & conditions for full details.
D) GREYHOUNDS: Untimed or wrongly timed bets for trap numbers will automatically be settled on the next race immediately after the time of acceptance.
E) Tote betting (Placepots / Jackpots / Quadpots etc.): If for any reason the tote fails to operate at a race meeting all tote bets will be settled at our starting price terms.
F) Under no circumstances will business be conducted with persons who are under 18 years of age. Age verification will be requested if deemed necessary by our staff at any time. Each customer warrants that any proof of age documentation produced to us in complete and authentic. The right is to void any bet with a person less than 18 years of age is retained.
G) Each individual customer must ensure that their own local, national or state laws allow them to place bets with us.
H) We reserve the right to accept or decline the whole or part of any bet that a customer offers to make at our sole discretion, without giving any reason.
I) If we accept a bet after our official betting time has closed, where the event upon which the bet was place has been determined/finished or at a stage where a customer knew or could have had any indication of the outcome then we may void the bet and return the stake to you.
J) We will make every effort to ensure total accuracy in the issuing and publishing of our Prices & Information. However, we will not be held accountable or accept responsibility for any obvious errors or omissions in any of the markets offered and we reserve the right to correct these errors as follows:
1) Where a bet is accepted in error at an incorrect price, then bets will stand at the correct price; we will endeavor to contact the customer before the event commences to offer the choice of cancelling the bet by mutual consent, but should no contact be made then all bets will stand at the correct price.
2) Where a bet is accepted in error containing the incorrect Handicap, Spread or Totals
number then all bets will be void, regardless of the result.
This rule applies to both pre-event and in-running markets.
K) If under any of these Rules we declare a bet void we will return the stake to you and that is the only obligation that we have to you in relation to the bet.
L) In these Rules limits and maximum payouts appear. It is the customer’s sole responsibility to ensure that he or she understands and adheres to these limits, irrespective of bets being accepted by our staff in excess of those limits.
M) We record telephone calls with our customers to maintain a copy of the transaction which occurs and also to monitor the quality of our employee's delivery of service. The recordings that we capture are kept for approximately 1 month unless there is an issue/event that has been identified which makes it necessary to keep it for longer or where we need to keep a record of the transaction which has taken place and we have no other record. All recordings are stored within a safe facility and are not disclosed to any third party except An Garda Siochana for the purpose of preventing, detecting or investigating criminal offences.
SPECIFIC RULES APPLICABLE TO BETS
All bets are subject to the following rules
We accept bets for all meetings held under the rules of recognised Jockey Clubs, Turf Clubs, and National Hunt Committees worldwide (point to point excluded), the National Greyhound Racing Club(NGRC), tracks Wimbledon and such other NGRC tracks as may be designated for Bookmakers Afternoon & Evening Greyhound Service (BAGS & BEGS) from time to time. We accept bets for Irish Greyhound Racing for Shelbourne Park and other Irish greyhound tracks (Excluding Harold's Cross) run by the Irish Greyhound Board (IGB).
Selections for other sporting events may be accepted by BoyleSports if a price is agreed between you and us. In addition, any instructions or terms issued by us by means of a press announcement or a notice posted by us in our betting offices are part of these conditions of acceptance and Rules. “Conditional” or “any to come” bets are not accepted with the exception of round robin and flag bets.
We reserve the right to declare void any bet whose bona fides we are not satisfied with, win or lose.
A) ANTE POST BETS
All Ante Post bets are accepted and settled on a Rules of Racing basis only. Ante
Post bets are accepted on the basis of ‘all in’, whether the horse or selection
participates or not. This means that if the horse or selection does not run or
participate in the race/event named, the bet is a loser. This applies even if
the selection was not entered in the race, as long as there was the possibility
that it could have been entered at a later stage. All Ante-Post prices are
subject to fluctuation and Ante-Post bets will be settled at the price ruling
at the time of acceptance and must be recorded on the betting slip by our
staff. Our right is reserved to correct any palpable or obvious errors. If a
bet is placed on an Ante
Post selection before the entries have closed, the bet will stand. The
selection will only become void if:
•The race/event is abandoned or declared void.
• In the case of horseracing, a horse is balloted out or eliminated under
Jockey Club Rule 125, or prevented from running under Jockey Club Rule 1A.
• The venue changes.
• In the case of horseracing and greyhound racing, if the conditions of the
race entry are changed prior to the horses or greyhounds coming under starters
orders.
• In the case of horseracing, where the horse had already been withdrawn from
the race at the time of acceptance.
• Specific terms such as “with a run” were offered at the time the bet was
placed and the selection is subsequently withdrawn as a non-runner.
Where the above conditions apply to a selection in an Ante Post multiple bet, the
selection in question will be treated as a non-runner and the bet settled at
the Ante Post odds laid on the remaining selections. Doubles, trebles &
accumulators will be calculated at accumulative odds, except when the same
selection is taken to win two or more events, when reduced odds may apply. If a
bet on an Ante Post selection was placed after the entries closed, it will
become void unless: The race is run on a later date at the same venue; and
entries are not re-opened, in which case the bet will stand. However, if the
conditions of the race change (e.g. if the race is to be run over a different
distance), all affected Ante-Post selections will be void. Each-Way Ante Post
bets are settled according to the Each-Way terms advertised at the time the bet
was placed. Ante Post selections can be included in most types of bets,
including our range of specialty bets. However, any built-in bonuses and
consolations specific to certain specialty bets (such as double the odds one
winner on a Lucky 15/31/63 bet) will not apply. We do not accept “place only”,
“any- to -come” or “if cash” bets at Ante-Post odds.
In the event of a postponement of a race or event - if the declarations are
re-opened - all bets placed before the postponement will be void, win or lose.
B) RELATED CONTINGENCIES
Different bets may not be combined where the result of one influences the outcome of another. Example: Liverpool to win the F.A. Cup Semi-final 6/5, Liverpool to win the Cup outright 2/1 - €10 Double on above or similar type bet would be settled as a €5 single on each. However, a special price is available for most combinations of Football results, i.e. 1st Goalscorer plus correct score, etc. If two selections run in the same race are included in a double, treble or accumulator, both win and place stakes will be equally divided between the two. A double will become 2 singles; a treble will become two doubles and so on. If however, either of the selections should be doubly engaged, settlement will be determined by application of the rule “Double Engaged”.
If the same selection is repeated in a double, treble or accumulator, then a non-runner will be substituted for the repeated selection. Where a horse and greyhound or a virtual horse or greyhound with identical names are engaged to run on the same day, untimed bets for that selection will be settled for the horse race unless it is otherwise indicated that the greyhound or virtual horse is required. Where a selection is given both by name and trap number, the name will take precedence for the purpose of settlement. Untimed or wrongly timed bets on unnamed favourites where the meeting is specified will be automatically settled for the next race after acceptance of the bet at that meeting.
C) BOARD PRICES AND MORNING PRICES
At all horse or greyhound meetings when we are receiving a “Course Betting service” we will lay the current quoted price of the selection at the time the bet is accepted.
Neither a “bar price” nor the instruction “first show” will be accepted; if taken in error the selection will be settled at the starting price. Customers wishing to bet at board or morning prices must stipulate this when handing in the bet, ensuring that the quoted price is marked on the betting slip by our Staff, and countersigned by them, otherwise the bet will be settled at the starting price.
Where a board or morning price is laid, this will apply to the selection throughout the slip. Should there be an (official) correction of a price or starting price, whichever was wrongly transmitted, all wagers struck at that price will be settled at the corrected price or starting price, whichever is the greater, a similar correction will be made where, due to a mistake by a member of our staff a price has been incorrectly quoted, whether to the customers advantage or not. This rule will similarly apply where morning prices advertised or displayed on the day of an event are marked incorrectly on the betting slip by a member of our Staff. Settlement of the place part of each way bets where a price has been laid (except ante-post) is determined by our Place term Rule A horse race bet laid in accordance with advertised or circulated prices on the day of the race is not an ante-post bet and in the event of any withdrawals such horse(s) will count as non-runners and bets for other horses will be subject to a deduction equivalent to that of Tattersall’s Rule 4, the rate depending upon the advertised or quoted price(s) of the withdrawn horse(s). When a rule 4 deduction applies to an early priced race and the result renders the price less than the returned S.P. price, we will pay at the SP. This applies to singles only.
*Morning Prices on horses are available or up to the transmission of the 1st show from the course.
*Morning Prices on Greyhounds are available up to 20 minutes before the advertised off time, or up to the transmitted 1st show whichever occurs earliest. No prices are available on Horse Racing once the race has started.
D) EACH-WAY BETTING
An Each-Way bet is made up of 2 parts: the ‘Win’ and the ‘Place’. Each part is an equal stake, e.g. a €/£1
Each Way bet will have €1 on the ‘Win’ and €/£1 on the ‘Place’ (a total stake of €/£2). The ‘Win’ part of your bet is on your selection to win the event, and the ‘Place’ part is on your selection to finish either first or in one of the pre-determined places. If your selection wins, both the ‘Win’ and ‘Place’ parts of your bet will pay out. But if your selection only places, you will lose the ‘Win’ part of your bet (and lose that part of the stake) but get paid out on the ‘Place’.
The odds for the ‘Place’ are given as a fraction of the odds for the ‘Win’ and will be displayed to you when you place your bet. Each-Way betting is most common in horse and greyhound racing, and is also usually available in other sports e.g. Football or Golf tournaments. For Horse and Greyhound Racing, the ‘Place’ part of Each Way bets will be given the following Place terms:
Non-Handicap Races
2 - 4 Runners Win Only. 5 – 7 Runners 1/4 the Odds 1st, 2nd. 8 or more Runners 1/5 the Odds 1st 2nd & 3rd.
Handicap Races
2 - 4 Runners Win Only. 5 - 7 Runners 1/4 the Odds 1st, 2nd. 8 - 11 Runners 1/5
the Odds 1st, 2nd, 3rd.
12 - 15 Runners 1/4 the Odds 1st, 2nd, 3rd. 16 or more Runners 1/4 the Odds
1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th.
Please note: Horse races with 4 runners or less, there is no place betting available and all the stake will go on to win. For example if you have €/£1 Each Way and there are only 4 runners, the bet will be settled as €/£2 win. Also, Non-Runners in a race can affect the Each-Way terms of your bet. For example, if your bet is placed in an 8 runner race, and a horse later withdraws reducing the field to 7, the Each-Way terms will change from 1/5 odds first 3 places to 1/4 odds on the first 2 places only. For overseas racing where we pay pari-mutuel returns, the each way terms will be as Determined by the local pari-mutuel rules. See overseas racing section.
E) ENHANCED PRICES FOR MULTIPLE BETS
In cases where we offer an enhanced price for multiple bets, such as doubles or trebles, any non-runners will be treated as void selections. For example, a treble with a non-runner will be settled as a double on the remaining selections. The prices for the remaining selections will be based on the advertised prices and not the enhanced odds.
F) MAXIMUM PAYOUTS
The maximum daily payouts on any bet, or bets, including Ante Post, are as detailed below. The maximum payout limits apply to individual events. The limits below refer to the total return on the bet, excluding the original stake. If a multiple bet has been placed which involves events with different maximum payout limits, the lowest limit will apply. All maximum payout limits apply to any one customer, or group of customers acting together, who have backed the same combination of selections, including where placed in a series of bets, at a range of prices, over a number of days using different betting accounts and/or across different betting channels. Should we have reason to believe that a number of bets have been placed this way, the total payment of all those bets combined will be limited to one single maximum payout. BoyleSports shall not be liable for any loss of profits, loss of anticipated savings, loss of goods, or any special, indirect, consequential or pure economic loss, costs, damages, charges or expenses.
Throughout these rules, Full Service refers to horse and greyhound races for which full details (shows of betting, official off times and results) are broadcast to BoyleSports and viewable in our shops by satellite and terrestrial media. The total maximum payout per customer is determined by us and we may set individual limits for each sport or event at our discretion. It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure they are aware of each of the limits before bet placement. In the event that a customer has an accumulator or multiple legs bet the maximum payout will be applied according to the lowest payout limit on the accumulator or multiple legs. BoyleSports may amend or introduce any limits from time to time at its discretion without giving notice.

H) SETTLEMENT OF BETS
Horse racing bets are automatically settled on a Double Result basis unless otherwise stated or as detailed in the ‘Double Result’ section. The advertised times of all races, the runners, the returns and the results as published in the Racing Post (or where not published in another national newspaper determined by us) will govern the settlement of all bets, errors and omissions excepted.
“Through the Card” type instructions will be determined by reference to the published race programme, as will instructions “first race” etc. In the event of no starting prices being returned, all selections for which a price has not been laid, will be declared void and treated as non-runners for the purpose of settlement.
Unless otherwise advertised by us, bets are accepted only at Starting Price, Board Price, Morning Price or Ante-Post Price. If taken at tote returns in error, win and place singles or accumulative bets will be settled at starting prices. Forecast bets will be settled in accordance with our Rule “Forecasts”. Each way doubles, trebles and accumulators are settled win to win and place to place. When three or more selections are made for a race in a wager involving straight forecasts, settlement will be made as a full combination of those selections, unless each required forecast is written individually. In accumulative wagers where bet contingencies are related, stakes will be divided on those selections which therefore clash. Commissions for a horse or greyhound that runs in a race or a meeting not precluded by our rules will be executed for that race unless the selection is specifically timed by the customer or by our Rule “Double Engaged” for another race for which it holds an engagement. Where there is evidence of “price-rigging” of starting prices, we reserve the right to withhold payment of returns pending the outcome of any subsequent inquiry.
I) VOID BETS
If a selection in a single bet is made void the stake will be returned. Void selections in multiple/accumulator bets will be treated as non-runners and the stake will run onto the remaining selections in the bet.
J) WITHOLDING PAYMENT & OUR RIGHT TO SET OFF LIABILITY
We reserve the right to withhold payment and to declare bets on an event void if we have evidence that the following has occurred:
1.
The integrity of the event has been called into question
2. The price(s) or pool has been manipulated
3. Match rigging has taken place
Evidence of the above may be based on the size, volume or pattern of bets placed with us across any or all of our betting channels. A decision given by the relevant governing body of the sport in question (if any) will be conclusive. If any customer owes any money to BoyleSports for any reason, we have the right to take that into account before making any payments to that customer.
HORSE RACING
1) Abandoned /Postponed Races or Meetings
Bets will be void if: The race is abandoned, the race is declared void, Any of the race conditions or entries change. If the overnight declarations do not stand, all bets are void.
2) Aggregate Winning Distances
A prediction on the total winning margins (distance between first and second placed horses) of each race at a particular meeting. A fixed odds bet is available on selected Horse Race meetings based on predicting the correct total of the winning distances for all races at that meeting. The following list represents the numeric unit that is used in the calculation for distances less than one length, e.g. Newmarket aggregate winning distances is the sum of the distances between the first and second horses in all races from Newmarket on that day. Six races won by 3 lengths, 1 length, ½ length, 6 lengths, 2 lengths and 1 length would equal a total of 13½ lengths. This market will be displayed in three bands, e.g. Newmarket Aggregate winning distances:
Under x lengths 13/8, between x and y lengths 6/4, Over y lengths 15/8. For races won by less than a length, the following is awarded: Nose = 0.05 lengths, Short head = 0.1 lengths, Head = 0.2 lengths, Neck = 0.3 lengths, ½ length = 0.5 lengths, ¾ length = 0.75 lengths.
The maximum winning distance for a National Hunt race is 30 lengths (including National Hunt Flat races). The maximum winning distance for a flat race is 12 lengths. In the event of a walkover, the distance will be 2 lengths for a Flat race and 6 lengths for National Hunt race. If less than 4 races are run bets are void unless the maximum quote has been attained. If 4 or more races are run and a meeting is subsequently abandoned, default distances of 2 lengths (for Flat races) and 6 lengths (for Nat Hunt races) will be awarded to void races. Distances for each race at a meeting are settled on a “First Past the Post” basis. Other applying conditions will be displayed on the day. Any runner subsequently disqualified for taking the wrong course or carrying an incorrect weight will be ignored when the winning distance is calculated. The winning distance in such a race will be settled on the officially declared distance between the first two horses past the post that have followed the correct course and carried the correct weight. This only includes races on the regular card, it does not include charity races or any other race not run under the Rules of Racing.
3)Amendments after the official result
Where a result is amended after the official result (i.e. the weigh-in), for example as a result of a successful appeal, the amendment will be ignored for settlement purposes.
4) Best Odds / Enhanced Prices
Take the price - including early prices and board prices, singles only- and if the SP returns greater we’ll pay you out at the bigger price. Maximum stakes may apply which also applies to Enhanced Odds. Applies to single bets only. For example, if you take a price of 3/1 and the selection wins with a Starting Price of 4/1, we pay you 4/1. If you take a price of 3/1 and the selection wins with a Starting Price of 2/1, we pay you 3/1. In the event of a Rule 4, we pay you at the bigger odds, after the Rule 4 deduction has been applied. The offer does not include Ante-Post, Tote/Pools, Betting Without markets, To Win/Not to Win, Place Only, Match Bets. Bets placed after the off do not qualify for this offer. Bets must be placed on the day of the event to qualify. BoyleSports reserves the right to remove this offer at any time and from individual Customers.
5) Board Prices Accepted
You can take the current Board Price on your bet. If a horse is withdrawn from a race, no further Board Prices will be available until a new market has been formed and prices may be subjected to a Rule4. 6) Bonus/Consolations on Patents, Yankees, Super Yankees, Heinz, Super Heinz & Lucky 15/31/63
Bonus must be clearly marked on all slips. Any bet for races other than those specified will be settled as ordinary multiple bets. All selections must run and win for bonus to apply. Bonus paid in addition to all returns. No bonus will be paid on any bet which contains unnamed favourites. In the event of a dead heat on any bonus bet half the bonus will be paid. No bonus will be paid for the place part of any each-way bet. Only one bonus will apply per bet. No bonuses paid on combination bets or Ante post bets. Bonuses/Consolations apply only to UK, Irish & UAE horseracing, UK/Irish Greyhound Racing and all Virtual Racing. Where a cash bonus is offered
– Lucky 15, 10% of total return if all 4 selections win.
– Lucky 31, 20% of total return if all 5 selections win.
– Lucky 63, 25% of total return if all 6 selections win.
Consolation (Lucky 15/31/63)
For all selections, your win single is settled at “Double odds” if only one winner is selected. This applies to the win part only if it was an Each-Way bet and does not apply to unnamed favourites.
7) Dead Heats
In the event of a dead heat customers lose half their stakes and are paid full odds to the other half, e.g. if a customer invests €1.00 on a selection that starts at 20/1 and which Dead-Heats for 1st place, half the stake is lost leaving 50 cents stakes at 20/1. A similar rule applies to place betting where, as a result of a dead heat, more than the required Number of horses are placed. In the event of a multiple dead heat stakes will be divided in proportion.
8) Doubly Engaged
An untimed single bet for a selection which is Doubly Engaged will be taken as for the first race in which it runs, unless an ‘if absent’ selection is also given on the slip, when this will be taken as timing the bet for the race where both are engaged. Where a selection is “Doubly engaged” and is timed by the customer, it will be settled as a bet for that timed race only. Where it is untimed, or incorrectly timed, the bet will be on the first race in which the selection runs, after the time that the bet was placed. If two selections, one of which is Doubly Engaged, are included in a double, treble or accumulator and run in the same race the one which is Doubly Engaged will be deemed to be timed for the race in which they do not clash. If both are Doubly Engaged, the selection written first will be timed for the race in which it runs and the other timed for the race in which they do not clash. This does not apply to single bets, which are treated as entirely separate bets.
9) Early Prices
Our Early Prices (that is prices offered after the overnight declarations are made) are available daily on selected races up to the first racecourse show.
10) Favourites Index
A fixed odds bet is also available at selected meetings and is based on a points system for the finishing positions of favourites in each race. The aim is to correctly predict the total number of points for the finishing positions of favourites in each race at the specified meeting. The ‘Favourites Index’ market relates to the aggregate performance of favourites over the course of a race meeting. The scoring system is as follows:
•Win = 25 points
• 2nd = 10 points
• 3rd = 5 points
• There are no points for a 4th place finish, regardless of whether four places
are returned for each way purposes
In the case of joint or co favourites, the favourite will be deemed to be the one with the lowest racecard number. If there is a dead heat for any placing, the points for these runners will be added together and divided equally between the number of positions. All bets will be settled on the official result, after the weighed-in signal. If the meeting has 3 or more races abandoned or declared void, then all bets will be void unless a winning market has already been established, in which case all bets stand. When only 1 or 2 races are abandoned or declared void, bets will be settled with a default figure of 10 points applied to each abandoned or void race. In the event of a walkover, bets will be settled with a default figure of 10 points applied to that race. If the favourite is withdrawn at the start of the race and no new market is formed, points will be awarded dependent on the price of the favourite at the time of withdrawal:
• Evens or less = 15 points
• 11/10 to 9/2 = 10 points
• 5/ 1 or bigger
11) Forecast/Tricast Betting
A “straight forecast” is a bet where you name two selections to come 1st and 2nd in the correct order for a specified event. A “reversed forecast” is when you name two selections to finish 1st and 2nd in any order for a specific event. A “combination forecast” is when you choose three or more selections in an event, with any of these to finish 1st and 2nd in the race. Straight, reversed and combination forecasts are available on both horseracing and greyhound racing provided 3 or more entries run in any one race.
Subject to the following rules, forecasts are accepted in singles, doubles and trebles only. Any forecast accumulators accepted in error, which do not comply to the format and conditions above, will be settled as forecast trebles, with the stake involved being equally split over the number of trebles available. If the forecast should contain a non-runner, if the same selection is repeated or if the selections run in different races, the forecast will be declared void and treated as a non-runner for the purpose of settling wagers.
Forecasts at Tote Returns, if taken in error, will be settled in accordance with the relevant section of this rule. A Forecast including an unnamed favourite selection will be declared void.
• HORSES: Forecasts will be accepted only in races of three or more runners, and will be settled in accordance with the officially declared S.P. Computer Forecast Returns; in races of less than three the forecast will be declared void. Forecasts at Tote Returns are not accepted and, if taken in error, will be settled at Computer Forecast Returns. Where a customer Nominates a dual forecast in a race for which a straight forecast is declared, the stake will be divided and invested as two straight forecasts. If for any reason, no CSF or BAGS/BEGS Forecast is returned, bets will be settled by reference to the N.S.L. Straight Forecast Chart. Should one runner finish alone, a dividend for the winner with any other runner will be passed by S.I.S.
• GREYHOUNDS: Forecasts will be accepted only in races of three or more runners and will be settled in accordance with the official BAGS/BEGS Computerised Forecasts. For races where such forecasts are not declared, settlement will be made by reference to the N.S.L. Straight Forecast Chart and in accordance with the rules printed thereon; in races of less than three runners the forecast will be declared void.
• Forecasts for Irish Racing will be settled in accordance with the officially declared S.P. Computer Forecast Returns. In the event of no forecast dividend being returned, winning forecasts will be settled at multiplied odds; e.g. 2/1 Winner, Second 5/1, 2x5 = 10/1
12) Tricast Betting
To select the horses to finish 1st, 2nd and 3rd in correct order, are accepted in singles only in races for which an official Computer Tricast return is declared. Stakes for any tricast double, treble, etc accepted in error will be divided equally to cover each tricast race in tricast singles only. Selections should be named, although race card numbers will be accepted provided there can be only one interpretation of the required selections. In the event of any ambiguity the Tricast will be declared void. Instructions for permutations must be specific; otherwise, the bet will be settled as a Straight Tricast to the stake available. Tricasts will be settled in accordance with the official Computer Tricast return. Should selections for the Tricast include one non-runner; the stake will be invested as a Computer Straight Forecast on the remaining two selections in the order written, with the non-runner being discounted. For the purpose of settlement, in the case of combination tricasts the total stake will be invested as a reversed forecast on the remaining two selections. It should be noted that a permutation is a series of Straight Tricasts. Should selection for a Tricast include two non-runners, the stake will be void. If, for any reason, a Tricast is taken for a race for which an official Computer Tricast return is not declared, where all three selections run, settlement will be made as a Computer Straight Forecast on the selections nominated to finish 1st and 2nd, with the selection for 3rd being discounted. In the event of a combination Tricast, the bet will be settled as a combination forecast. Any tricast which contains an unnamed favourite, that selection will be settled as a non-runner. Tricasts will be settled in accordance with the official computerised return. If two non-runners are selected in a tricast, the bet will be void. If fewer than three runners finish the race a tricast dividend is declared based on those runners that do finish with the field. If a tricast bet is accepted where less than 4 runners take part in the race, it will be settled as a Straight Forecast on the selections nominated to finish 1st and 2nd, with the selection nominated to finish 3rd ignored. Horse Tricast bets are accepted on all Handicap, Nursery and Rated Stakes Handicap races that are included in our full service provided eight or more horses
How does a non-runner affect my bet?
If your selection becomes a non-runner;
Single
Bet
If you have a non-runner, your bet is void and you
receive your stake back. Please note, this does not
apply if your bet was placed under Ante Post rules, in which case your bet will
be settled as a loser.
Multiple
Bets
If you’ve placed a multiple bet such as a double,
treble or Lucky 15, your bet will stand on the remaining selections. So a
double becomes a single, a treble becomes a double, and so on.
Forecast
If you have a non-runner in a forecast bet, your bet
is void and you will receive your stake back. Please note,
the bet is not settled as a single on the remaining selection.
Example
1: €/£1 Forecast A - B, where B is a non-runner, bet will
be Void.
Example 2: A combination forecast (6 bets, total stake €6) A - B -
C, where C is a non-runner, will be settled as: A - C = Void, A - B = Stands, B
- A = Stands, B - C = Void, C - A = Void, C - B = Void.
Tricast
If you have a non-runner in a tricast bet, your bet
is settled as a forecast on the remaining selections in the order they were
selected.
Example
1: €1 Tricast A - B - C,
where B is a non-runner, will be settled as a €1 forecast A - C. Combination
bets follow the same rules, with each combination settled separately.
Example 2: €1 Combination Tricast A - B -
C, where C is a non-runner, will be settled as:
A - B - C = Stands as A- B, A - C - B = Stands as A - B, B - A - C = Stands as
B - A, B - C - A = Stands as B - A, C - A - B = Stands as A - B, C - B - A =
Stands as B - A,
If you have 2 non-runners in a tricast bet, your bet
is void and you will receive your stake back. Please note,
the bet is not settled as a single on the remaining selection.
If
another selection in an event you have bet on becomes a non-runner
If a selection other than your own becomes a
non-runner, then prices for the remaining selections may need to be reduced to
reflect their chances of winning an event. Please refer to our article on Rule
4 Deductions for more information.

HORSE RACING SPECIAL MARKETS
1) Horses and Hounds
Horses and hounds are offered on a daily basis and consist of across the card doubles involving a greyhound and horse. Should there be a non-runner or withdrawn selection in either of the races involved with a price of 10/1 or less the bet will revert to a SP double. Should one of the selections be withdrawn the bet will revert to a SP single on the other selection. Prices are not guaranteed on this product but there is an enhancement built in at time of acceptance. This market is settled on Official Result and First Past the Post.
2) Jollies and Rags
This market will be offered on selected races in Ireland and the UK daily. In the event of a withdrawal resulting in a rule 4 of 10c or greater in a race where we offer “distance betting” the Tattersall’s rule 4 amount will be split between the distance options. The following list represents the numeric unit that is used in the calculation for distances less than one length.

In such instance bets struck up to the point of the reserve entering the race will not be subject to our best price guaranteed offer.
RULE 4 DEDUCTIONS
1) What are Rule 4 deductions?
Rule 4 deductions are made to the Returns you receive back when the horse you have backed wins or is placed. These deductions are only made when one or more horses are withdrawn from the race after you have placed your bet. Rule 4 deductions are normally only made in cases where you have taken a price on your horse. Rule 4 deductions are only made from the Starting Price of a horse when a horse is withdrawn just before the race and there is no time to start or ‘reform’ a new market. Does not apply to Ante Post bets and backers of the withdrawn horse will have their stakes refunded
2) Why are Rule 4 deductions made?
Rule 4 deductions are made because when a horse is withdrawn from a race it becomes easier for the other runners to win. Put simply, each horse in the race will have one less to beat so it is more likely that it will win. Therefore an amount of money is taken out of winnings to balance the effect of the withdrawn runner. If bookmakers did not make Rule 4 deductions from winnings then in some cases customers would be able to back all the horses in one race and make money whichever horse won!
For example, suppose there are three horses in a race. Horse A is 1/3 favourite, horse B is 3/1 and horse C is 12/1. Now suppose horse A is withdrawn and there are no deductions made to the prices of horse B and C. In this case if you placed €1 on horse B and €1 and horse C you would win more than the €/£2 staked whichever horse won. If horse B won you would win €/£4 and if horse C won you would win €13. Therefore Rule 4 deductions are made to take into account the additional advantage a customer has when a horse is withdrawn from a race.
3) How much are Rule 4 deductions?
The amount taken from your winnings depends on how likely the horse or horses that were withdrawn from the race were to win. For example, if the favourite in a race is withdrawn it will make it much easier for the second favourite to win. However, if an outsider is taken from the race then it will be still difficult for the second favourite to win as it still needs to beat the favourite. The exact amount taken out of your winnings is based on the last price of the withdrawn selection, in that market, at the time it is withdrawn from the race. This is because the price equates to its chances of winnings. Therefore the shorter its price, the bigger its chance of winning and the larger the Rule 4 deduction is. The table below shows the amount of the deductions based on the price of individual selections. These deductions are the amount of money that is taken from each €/£1 in winnings or returns. Hence if you win €10 and there is a 10c Rule 4 deduction you will only receive €9 winnings.
Price at withdrawal Deduction Price at withdrawal Deduction
4) What happens if more than one horse is withdrawn from a race?
More than one Rule 4 deduction can apply if more than one horse is withdrawn from a race. For example, if a horse at 5/4 is withdrawn at 9:30 and a horse at 6/1 is withdrawn at 11:00, then a 40p and 10c deduction (50c in total) will apply to bets placed before 9:30. However if a new market is formed after 9:30 once the 5/4 horse had been withdrawn then only a 10c deduction will apply to bets placed between 9:30 and 11:00. This is because the prices for the market formed after 9:30 will not include the horse that has been withdrawn at 9:30.
5) Why are they called Rule 4 deductions?
Rule 4 deductions were originally part of Tattersall’s Rules of Racing. Tattersall’s are one of the organisations which historically helped to organise and codify horse racing in Britain and Ireland. Nowadays Tattersall’s are responsible for auctioning race horses. It is called a ‘Rule 4’ simply because the rule relating to withdrawals and deductions was the fourth in a list of rules which were originally devised to govern racing.
Special Offers - BoyleSports
If the S.P return is greater than the Special advertised price for “Win” Jockey/ Trainer Doubles, Trebles & Hotpots - we pay S.P. (This does not apply to any Specials including a ‘placed’ selection). Prices on other specials are not guaranteed (Across the Card Doubles, Mixed Hot Pot, Place Accumulators, Jockey Specials, Easy As 1-2-3 , Horse And Hounds , Winner Winner & Boylemania Special) as there is an enhancement built in at time of acceptance. In the event of any non-runner, in any of the races selected for these Specials (irrespective of the time it is passed by SIS), that was quoted at less than 10/1 in a BoyleSports Early Price Race or, in the absence of an Early Price, at less than 10/1 in the probable S.P. in the RACING POST, bets will be settled at S.P. Where any of the selections are themselves non-runners, accumulators become trebles at S.P, trebles become doubles at S.P. and doubles become S.P. singles. In the event of any non-runners in races from which a place only has been nominated, our place betting terms will automatically apply, i.e., if we advertise a horse to be placed in the first four and due to non-runners the field is reduced to between 8 and 15 runners inclusive, it will automatically become the first three places only. Likewise if we advertise a horse to be in the first three and the field is reduced to between 5 and 7 runners inclusive, it will automatically become first and second only, and so on. All BoyleSports Special Doubles, Trebles, Accumulators or place only specials inadvertently accepted after the first show has been given by S.I.S. will automatically revert to S.P. Jockey Specials stand irrespective of who rides the named selections in the Specials. BoyleSports money back specials on Horse Racing are settled on F.P.P basis. In the event of a Dead-Heat in any leg of a Special, offered by BoyleSports, all settlement will revert to SP.
Two runner races
If a race has 2 runners, all bets are accepted at Early Prices and Board Prices. Forecast bets are not accepted on 2 runner races. If a Forecast bet is accepted in error then it will be made void. If a race is reduced to 2 runners because of non-runners then Rule 4 rules will apply and Forecast/Tricast bets will be made void.
Walkovers / Void races
All bets on races declared a walkover or declared ‘void’ will be void, win or lose
Withdrawals / Non-Runners
If a horse comes under Starter’s Orders but refuses to race, the bet will be a loser. In all horse races where a runner is withdrawn, or adjudged not to have started - and therefore been declared a Non-Runner by the starter - stakes on that selection will be refunded. (The exception to this being Ante Post bets). Bets on the remaining runners in that race, taken at Early Prices or at Board Prices prior to withdrawal, will be subject to a deduction. This is based on Tattersalls Rule 4(c) (see above) and is dependent on the non-runner’s price at the time it was withdrawn. In reformed markets, the total deduction on the two or more horses - one in the original market and one in the reformed market - will be calculated on the prices applicable in the original market. Bets on horses in subsequent markets that then have one or more withdrawn horses will have a deduction calculated on the prices applicable to that market at the time of the withdrawal. In the event that there is insufficient time to form a new market on the race, S.P. bets may also be subject to a deduction based on Tattersalls Rule 4(c). For bets at Early Prices, the application of Rule 4(c) will be determined by the last BoyleSports price available at the time the horse is withdrawn.
OVERSEAS RACING
All horse racing outside Ireland, U.K and UAE are settled on Rules of Racing basis only. In countries where bookmakers do operate and an official starting price is returned, bets are accepted in accordance with our general rules and any conditional rules applicable to the country concerned, as advertised by BoyleSports on its screens or IT system in the LBOs or in national newspapers.
In countries where we determine that there is no Starting Price market in operation, bets maybe accepted at the following, where available:-
A) BoyleSports Early Prices or SIS Industry shows.
B) For selected meetings when an SIS/Industry S.P. is in operation and advertised, bets not struck at Early or Board price will be settled at the SIS/Industry SP and not at Pari-mutuel returns. (Bets maybe accepted at Pari-mutuel returns for meetings when an SIS/Industry SP is in operation only if we offer this facility and it is requested by the customer - otherwise bets will be settled at the Industry SP.)
C) When there is no SIS/Industry SP in operation bets not placed at an Early or Board price will be settled at Pari-Mutuel returns.

2) German Racing

These prices can be taken by you provided that you ensure that they are verified by a member of our staff before you place your bet. BoyleSports can only accept bet types that are made available by the relevant track and for which the appropriate betting pool has been opened. BoyleSports will refund stakes on any race declared a No Contest by the relevant US track. A simple rule is that when there is a dividend for a bet type declared – then you’re on! US Racing – Tote Pool Betting
•
Bets on all US races, placed through our US Tote page, will go directly into
the relevant racetrack pool. When you bet into the pools you will do so in US
dollars.
• Your stakes and your winnings from US racing bets will always be shown in
your account history in US dollars.
• All bets need to be confirmed as being accepted into the pool to be valid -
this will be confirmed to you via your bet accepted confirmation. In the United
States racetrack pools close for betting purposes when the horses begin to enter
the stalls so you need to ensure you place your bets in good time.
• Your bets will be settled using the odds as declared by the US tracks as the
official results.
Rules:
BoyleSports can only accept bet types that are made available by the relevant
track and for which the appropriate betting pool has been opened.
BoyleSports will refund stakes on any race declared a No Contest by the
relevant US track. A simple rule is that when there is a dividend for a bet type declared then you’re bet is on.
7) Australian Racing
As no official SP is returned for Australian racing we will return an SP in the same manner as the leading Southern Hemisphere fixed odds operators. On this basis our SP return will be equal to the average of the lower two TAB returns from NSW TAB, QLD TAB and VIC TAB.

price will be taken. Where two or more horses are returned at the next shortest
price, the one with the lowest racecard number will
be taken.
TROTTING:
All bets are settled according to the declared official result. No subsequent change to the result will affect the settlement of the race in question. All bets on Trotting are accepted at stated prices only. This is true of win only bets and any other betting market. Multiple bets will be settled as standard accumulators:
•
All races of 8 or more runners - 3 places
• All races of 4, 5, 6 and 7 runners - 2 places
• Races with less than 4 runners - Place betting will not be offered for races
of less than 4 runners. If a race originally has 4 or more runners but there
are enough non-runners to reduce the field to less than 4, all bets previously
accepted as place only bets will be void and stakes returned
Match Bets
Select which of two or three named runners will finish first in a race. Dead heat rules apply unless a tie price is made available (e.g. for a handicap match bet). If one runner does not take part in a match bet then all bets on that match are void. If all participating horses in a Match bet fail to complete the race, all bets are void.

3) Board Prices Accepted
Board Prices are relayed directly from the greyhound stadium and are displayed on our screens as part of our service. You can take the current Board Price on your bet provided there are 3 or more runners. If a greyhound is withdrawn from a race, no further Board Prices will be available until a new market has been formed. Where Board prices are not provided, S.P. betting is available.

In the event of more than one dog being withdrawn from the first round of a stake only the shortest priced dog shall be considered for the purposes of such deduction. In the event of a final not being run for any reason payment of ante post and Long Odds bets will be as for a Divide
.When a ‘divide winner declared’ occurs we will treat it as a dead heat with the backers entitled to receive the full odds to half their stake.
5) Re-Scheduled Greyhound Races
Bets placed on a void race, which is re-scheduled to be run later on the same day, will be settled as follows:
Single bets (including single forecasts and tricasts). All bets stand, unless a refund is requested prior to the off of the re-scheduled race.
Board Prices and Early Prices - Bets taken at prices on a Void Race will revert to S.P. for the re-scheduled race.
Multiple Bets - All selections in Void Races within multiple bets will stand for the re-scheduled race. In the event that the race is not re-scheduled, all selections in that race will be treated as non-runners within multiple bets.
6) Reserve Greyhounds
Some races contain reserves, which may or may not be priced in our Early Prices Lists. The finishing positions of any of these reserves will count whether they are priced or not. The price of any Reserves which run will be offset against any Rule 4 deduction applicable from the non-runner(s). Where customer makes a selection by Trap Number only, any reserves running will count for settlement purposes. If you place a bet by dog name and the dog is a non-runner, your bet will be void. Where a “No Race” is re-run, all multiple bets that include the “No race” will stand for the re-run. Single bets will stand unless previously cancelled by mutual consent. All bets struck at board price and not cancelled will be settled at S.P. in the re-run race. When a dog is withdrawn, all bets struck at board price prior to withdrawal, and not cancelled, will be settled at starting price.
7) Trap Challenge
We offer prices on which trap will win the most races at selected meetings. Trap challenge bets are unaffected by reserves, vacant traps, void races or abandoned meetings (once the meeting has started). If a race finishes as a dead heat, each trap is awarded a win each; likewise if there is a three-way dead heat, each trap will receive a win each. In the event of a meeting not starting, all bets are void. If two or more traps record the same number of wins, dead heat rules apply. In the event of a meeting being cancelled in a multi-meeting trap challenge, bets will be settled on the other meetings providing more than one meeting remains; however multi-meeting trap challenge bets will be void if only one meeting remains in that challenge, as prices for that meeting already exist. This bet is available win only. Multiple bets are accepted as long as the bet is not related. If a related bet is accepted in error, it will be settled by dividing the stake unit equally where the results clash. A Trap Challenge at a BAGS meeting will be settled on the results of the BAGS races only. Any additional races at the meeting will not be included in this bet, unless specifically advertised.
8) Withdrawals
If a greyhound is withdrawn from a race, bets placed prior to the withdrawal at Early/Show prices will be settled at S.P.

GENERAL SPORTS RULES
1) Abandoned matches
If a match is abandoned before Full Time* has been played, bets on the match outcome will be void, unless an official result is declared. Bets on all markets which have been unconditionally determined will stand, for example in Football, First Goal Scorer bets will stand if a goal has been scored.
*Full time is determined by the rules of the specific sport, please refer to any special rules or terms in relation to that sport.
2) Cup/Trophy competitions
Unless we advertise other terms, we will settle outright betting on the player or team that lifts the trophy.
3) Knock out competitions
Tournament betting will be settled on the player or team that wins the trophy. We will settle bets in knock out competitions, on the competitor who qualifies for the next round. This applies as long as the match has started and is not drawn and replayed. If the match is drawn and replayed, bets will stand on the replayed match.
4) Non-Runners
Sports bets are accepted ‘All in compete or not’ and if a player or team is withdrawn before they have taken part in the event (in any way), your bet is a loser. If the event is advertised ‘Non-runner no bet’, stakes will be refunded on a player or team withdrawn prior to the start of an event. If you have placed a winning bet on a sporting event when a different player or team is withdrawn, we may apply the equivalent to a Tattersalls’ rule 4(c) to your winnings, based on the price of the selection withdrawn
5) Outright/Tournament & Handicap Betting
When odds for both Outright/tournament and handicap betting are advertised, the bet will be settled on the Outright/tournament result unless the handicap price is specifically selected at the time the bet was placed. Where only handicap betting is available the bet will be settled as a handicap bet whether selected or not.
6) Player/team withdrawn after the official start
If a player or team has taken any part in the sporting event once it has officially started and then fails to complete for whatever reason, we will settle your bet as a loser on outright markets
7) Related bets
Multiplied odds do not normally apply for the same selection to win more than one event and the only bets available at the current odds are singles. We may have special prices available that apply to selected doubles, trebles, accumulators and so on. For example: ‘Warwickshire to win all three English county tournaments’ or ‘Tiger Woods to win all 4 Major golf titles’ please ask us for the special prices available. If we accept in error a bet made up of doubles, trebles etc. at the individual event prices, we will settle your bet at the special price available at the time you placed it. If a special price was not available, we will divide your stake equally as singles at the individual event prices available at the time you placed the bet. If you take a special double price for the same selection in two events and the selection does not take part in one of them, your bet will be settled as follows:
• If you have placed your bet before the ‘day of event’ for both events, our normal Ante Post rules apply. This means that if your selection does not take part in one of the events we will settle your bet as a loser. This applies even if your selection has been successful in the other event.
• If you have placed your bet on the ‘day of the event’ for one of the events and your ‘day of event’ selection does not take part, this will be treated as a non-runner and the bet will become a single for the remaining Ante Post event. We will then settle your bet based on the price and place terms available at the time you placed your bet (normal Ante Post bets apply). When we offer prices on different selections in the same event, these cannot be combined in accumulative bets where the outcome is related. The only exception to this is where special prices are made available, e.g. a Scorecast on a football match. If such a bet is accepted in error, we will settle the bet by dividing the stake unit equally where the related outcomes clash.
8) Results
In the case of Football and other Sports, bets are settled on the official result published by the Press Association (PA), immediately after the match/event is finished. If the PA amends their decision after this period, all bets will stand on their original result. If the result is not immediately available from the PA, the result published by the official governing body immediately the match/event is finished will be used for settling purposes. Any subsequent corrections or amendments to this result will not apply for settlement purposes. Please refer to specific rules for individual events.
9) Season Handicap Betting
Season Handicap bets are settled by adding (or subtracting) the handicap start value to the final points total of all selections in the market at the end of the season. In the event of a tie, dead heat rules apply.
10) Venue changes
If your team is no longer playing at the venue advertised, your bet will still stand. This applies as long as the venue has not been changed to the opponent’s ground (or in the case of international matches, as long as the venue remains in the same country).
FOOTBALL
1) General
We reserve the right to correct palpable errors and also to disqualify bets the bona fides of which do not satisfy us and to pursue to a conclusion any enquiries deemed necessary.
Bets are accepted on football matches where BoyleSports offer prices. Where a bet is taken on a match where no prices are on offer all bets on that selection will be void and treated as a non-runner.
Should a match be brought forward, bets will stand provided they are placed before the kick-off or up to 5 minutes after the match has started as long as a goal has not been scored or a player sent off. Should a match be postponed or re-arranged, bets will only stand if played on the following day, otherwise selections will be void. Sunday matches (and scheduled Monday matches where included on the coupon) are accepted. This rule applies only to the Saturday coupon.
Bets are accepted up to 5 minutes after kick-off once no goal has been scored or players sent off. Any bets placed after this time would be void if not placed via available in-running markets. If a bet is placed mistakenly on the wrong list providing it is acceptable on another list, the bet will remain valid. Ninety minutes playing time (including injury time) will decide the result of all matches. Extra time does not count, except where a market specifically allows for this e.g. "To Win Outright" & "To Win on Penalties".
Perms are accepted provided instructions are clear. Pools panel verdicts are not accepted.
2) Prices subject to fluctuation
All prices are subject to fluctuation up to the kick-off. All football bets will be settled using the correct prices at the time the bet is placed.
3) Abandoned and Void
If a match is abandoned before 90 minutes playing time has elapsed that match will be void (unless it is restaged during that week, up to and including Sunday, when the 90 minute score will govern settlement) and wagers will stand on the remaining selections in the bet. Individual markets within that match will also be void unless they have been resolved at the time of abandonment, i.e. First player to score if a goal has been scored. Bets originally containing the correct number of selections but including void or postponed matches will stand on the remaining selections in the bet. Should a team play a different opposition to that on the coupon, or should a venue be reversed, forecasts for that match will be declared void. Should a match be changed from a home venue to a neutral one forecasts for that match will stand.
Total Goals in the Matches, 90Mins Only, Postponed/Abandoned/Rearranged Matches where the listed number of matches differ will result in affected markets being Void
4) Acceptance of Bets
All football bets will be settled on 90 minutes play (also referred to as Full-time
and normal time). This denotes the period of play which includes time added by
the Referee for injuries and other stoppages. This does not include scheduled
extra time, or Penalty shoot-outs, if played. In matches where penalty shoot
outs or extra time are due to take place, all bets are settled on 90 minutes
unless an Outright price is specifically requested and confirmed on the betting
slip at the time the bet is placed. For matches played at neutral venues, the
team listed on the left are still classed as the ‘home’ team for settlement
purposes. A club team playing a European competition is classed as playing at
home if the fixture is moved from the team’s usual ground to another ground
within their national boundaries, e.g. when
Arsenal played their Champions League home ties at Wembley. If a match is no
longer played at the venue advertised, bets will stand as long as the venue
remains in the same country and is not switched to the opponent’s ground.
Should this occur, all bets will be void. Where BoyleSports have not quoted
prices on a match, any single bet on that match will be void and treated as a
non-runner in multiple bets.
5) Cards/Bookings Markets
A) Tournaments
The total number of bookings that occur within a specified UEFA or FIFA tournament: the official result from the UEFA or FIFA website will be used for settlement
B) Matches
All Cards and Bookings markets below are for 90 minutes only, so any bookings that take place in extra time do not count for betting purposes. Cards cancelled by the referee during the course of the match, cards shown to non-active players and cards shown before kick-off, during the half time interval, or after the final whistle do not count. These bets cannot be combined with any other bets on the same match. Should this bet be accepted in error, it will be settled by equally dividing the stake unit where the related outcomes clash.
6) Booking Index
Bets are settled by adding the points per card issued within 90 minutes: Yellow card is 10 points, Red card is 25 points, and a maximum of 35 points can be awarded per player. Extra time does not include penalty shoot outs. All extra time betting markets, such as ‘correct score’, or ‘time of first goal’, will start from the beginning of extra time and not include normal time. For example, if the game finishes 2-2 at the end of normal time and there are no goals scored in extra time, the ‘extra time correct score’ market will be settled as ‘0-0’.
13) 1st Half Result/2nd Half Result
Customers are asked to predict the result for each separate half in one 90-minute game. For example if Lincoln play Dagenham and lead 1-0 at half time and the game then finishes 1-0 after 90 mins, the result will be settled as Lincoln winning the first half and the draw as the result in the second half.

We will make every effort to quote prices for all probable players. However, prices for unquoted players will always be available on request and those players will count as winners in the event that they score. If the only goal scored within 90 minutes is an own goal, then ‘no goalscorer’ will be deemed to have been the outcome. If a match is abandoned before the first goal is scored, all bets are void. This includes ‘no goalscorer’ bets as these are offered on the basis of 90 minutes being played in the game. If the match is abandoned after the first goal is scored, all bets will stand. Where there is a dispute concerning who scored the goals in a match, settlement will be based upon the first result declared by the Press Association (PA). Any subsequent amendments made by the PA to their initial decision will not apply. If the result is not immediately available from the PA, then the first results published by the official governing body will be used for settlement purposes. Any subsequent corrections or amendments to the initial result will not apply.
A) First goalscorer
Stakes are refunded on any player who takes no part in the match or who comes on as substitute after the first goal has been scored. Own goals do not count for first goalscorer purposes and are ignored for settlement purposes. On some matches the first goalscorer betting may be limited to one specific team.
B) Last Goalscorer
All players taking part at any point of the match are deemed to have played for the purposes of Last goalscorer bets, irrespective of whether they were on the pitch at the time the last goal is scored. Own goals do not count.

Bets are settled based on the result of the match at both half-time and full-time (i.e. at the end of 45 minutes and 90 minutes, including injury time). Bets will be void if the match is abandoned prior to the completion of 90 minutes play. Singles and upwards are available.
18) Handicap betting
Handicap bets are settled on the basis that one of the teams is given a number of goal(s) or corner(s) start. Bets are settled by adding (or subtracting) the goal(s) or corner(s) start to the 90 minutes result.
19) Highest Scoring Premiership/F.A. Cup/Champions League Match
Bets are settled on the highest scoring match from the list quoted on the days stated. Should a match be postponed then a Rule 4 deduction may apply. Abandoned matches will be void with a possible Rule 4 deduction - unless the total goals scored at the time of abandonment have equalled or exceeded the highest total scored of the remaining matches.

How will my football bet on a cup tie be settled?
All football bets will be settled on 90 minutes play (also referred to as Full-time and normal time). This denotes the period of play which includes time added by the Referee for injuries and other stoppages. This does not include scheduled extra time, or Penalty shoot-outs, if played. In Cup matches where penalty shoot outs or extra time are due to take place, all bets are settled on 90 minutes unless an Outright (i.e. ‘To Qualify’ or ‘Cup Winner’) price is specifically requested and confirmed on the betting slip at the time the bet is placed.
GENERAL FOOTBALL RULES
1) Last team to score
Bets are settled on the team to score the last goal in a match. Own Goals DO count for this market, e.g. Chelsea are playing Spurs and the last goal is an own goal by a Chelsea player. Spurs are awarded the goal, so Spurs would be the winner in the ‘Last team to score’ market. Normal 90 minutes betting rules apply.
2) Man Of The Match - live TV matches
Man Of The Match markets for matches broadcast live on Sky Sports/ESPN/BT Sports will be settled according to the result declared by Sky Sports/ESPN/BT Sports, unless otherwise stated in the individual market’s terms and conditions.
3) Marking of Coupon
Mark Fig.1 for a home team win. Mark Fig.2 for an away team win. Mark ‘X’ for a drawn game. Where a match is played on a neutral venue, for coupon marking purposes, the left hand team will count as the home side.
4) Money Back Specials
In certain matches BoyleSports will offer a ‘’Money back Special’’ which means BoyleSports will refund losing bets up to and including an amount specified by us providing certain events occur (for example Gerrard scores the last goal, 6 or more goals in the match ). Money back specials will only be applied to certain markets as specified by BoyleSports, and these may vary with each offer.
5) Mythical Matches
Bets are settled on the team who scores the most goals in our mythical match market. Goals conceded by a quoted team do not count as goals. Should one of the mythical team’s matches be abandoned the bets will be void unless the team concerned has already outscored their mythical opponents at the time of abandonment. If both teams involved in a mythical match have their matches abandoned the bet will be void and the bet settled on the remaining selections if applicable. Example - a mythical match might be England vs. Argentina, when England are actually playing Scotland, and Argentina are actually playing Brazil. If England beat Scotland 2-0 and Brazil and Argentina draw 1-1, then the Mythical match score is 2-1 to England. If both teams score the same number of goals, then the ‘draw’ option is the winner.
6) Next team to score
Bets are settled on the team to score the next goal in a match. Own goals do count for this market e.g. If Arsenal are playing Spurs and the first goal is an own goal by an Arsenal player then Spurs would be the winner in the first ‘Next team to score’ market. Normal 90 minutes betting rules apply.
7) Number of corners
Bets are settled on the total number of corners within 90 minutes. The typical starting values are: Under 10, Between 10 and 12, Over 12. These values may fluctuate as the match progresses. The market is for 90 minutes only, so any corners that take place in extra time do not count for betting purposes. Corners awarded but not taken will not count for settling purposes. This bet cannot be combined with any other bets on the same match. Should this bet be accepted in error, it will be settled by equally dividing the stake unit where the related outcomes clash.
8) Number of offsides
The result returned by OPTA will be used for settlement of this market. OPTA Sports Data supply official results to a wide range of media outlets, both in print and online
9) Penalty markets
Markets offering odds on penalties being scored or missed will be settled with all selections as losers in the event of no penalty being awarded.
10 Penalty shoot outs
The in-play markets “Shootout winner”, “Outcome of Next Penalty”, “Sudden death?” and “Total penalties converted” apply only to the result of a penalty shootout. Penalties scored in normal time and/or extra time will not count for the purposes of this market. A shootout is deemed to have gone to sudden death if both sides have taken 5 penalties each and the score remains level. Sudden death rounds of one kick each are then taken until one team scores and the other team does not. In the event that a match does not go to a penalty shootout, all bets on these four in-play markets will be void.
11) Postponed/re-arranged matches
A postponed match is void unless it is re-scheduled to commence within 24 hours of the original start time and this is confirmed within 12 hours of the original start time. In such circumstances where (a) void match(es) is/are included in an accumulator the bet will be settled on the remaining selections.
12) Matches not Played as Listed
If a match venue is changed (other than to the away team's ground) then bets
already placed will stand providing the home team is still designated as such.
If the home and away team for a listed match are reversed (e.g. match is played
at the original away team's ground) then bets placed based on the original
listing will be void.
We will endeavour to identify on our Website all matches played at a neutral
venue. For matches played at a neutral venue (whether indicated on our site or
not), bets will stand regardless of which team is listed as the home team. If
an official fixture, lists different team details to those listed on our
Website then bets will be void e.g. official fixture specifies in the team
name, Reserves/Age Group e.g. Under 21's/Gender e.g. Women. In all other cases
bets stand, including instances where we list a team name without specifying
the term 'XI' in the name.
13) Prices subject to fluctuation
All prices are subject to fluctuation up to the kick-off. All football bets will be settled using the correct prices at the time the bet is placed. Premiership / FA Cup/ Champs League 0-0 Draws. Bets are settled on the total amount of 0-0 draws in the matches quoted on the days stated. Should a match be postponed/abandoned then ALL bets will be void unless the ‘or more’ total has been exceeded in the remaining games played.
14) Related Bets
First Player to Score/Correct Score Forecasts are accepted for any match where Correct Scores and First Player to Score betting is available. See special chart for a full list of odds and rules. Other related bets may not be combined where the result of one influences the outcome of another (i.e., Man. Utd. to win in 90 mins and Man. Utd. to win 2-1 is not permitted). Where taken in error such a bet will be settled with equal stakes on each result in proportion to the number of outcomes, e.g. a related treble would be settled as three single bets at one third the total stake for that bet.
15) Related contingencies in one match
Where we offer various betting opportunities from the same match (e.g. correct score, first player to score etc) these cannot be combined in accumulative bets where the outcome is related (except where special fixed prices are available for Scorecasts). Where an accumulative bet of this type has been accepted in error it will be settled by equally dividing the stake unit where the related outcomes clash:
EXAMPLE: A €10 Double:- Manchester United to win in 90 minutes play and Manchester United to win 2-1 is settled as 2 x €5 singles.
16) Result After XX Minutes
Betting on who is winning a match at specified times throughout the match. Markets are settled on the score at 14:59 for the 15 minute market; 29:59 for the 30 minute market; 59:59 for the 60 minute market and 74:59 for the 75 minute market.
17) Results
In the case of football and other sports, bets are settled on the official result
published by the Press Association (PA), immediately after the match/event is
finished. If the PA amends their decision after this period, all bets will
stand on their original result. If the result is not immediately available from
the
PA, the result published by the official governing body immediately the
match/event is finished will be used for settling purposes. Any subsequent
corrections or amendments to this result will not apply for settlement
purposes.
All friendly matches will be resulted as per the official result of the game as decided by the referee regardless of how much time is played.
18) Rules of Selection – ALL LISTS
Unless otherwise stated, singles and upwards are accepted on all lists, there is no Limit to the number of selections which may be chosen.
19) Sections List
Customers may select Homes, Draws or Aways or combine all three. Customers may either select 1, 2 or 3 result(s) from each section. Any bet not made to these stipulations will be paid as a Long List bet. The minimum odds offered will only apply if the correct number of selections are made with no void matches.
20) Handicap List
Selected team is given a 1 or 2 goal start (as indicated on the list). A reassessed set of odds are printed for this list. On this list Homes, Draws or Aways or a combination of all three may be selected. Singles and upwards are accepted.
21) Scorecasts (first player to score and correct score)
To win you must successfully forecast both the player who will score the first goal in a selected match and also the correct score after 90 minutes play. Scorecasts are available on all matches where correct score and first player to score odds are available. The Scorecast 0-0 and no goalscorer is settled as a correct score single. If your selected player joins the match after the first goal has been scored or does not take part in the game, Scorecast bets will revert to a single on the correct score. For first goalscorer purposes, own goals do not count, so in this circumstance, the Scorecast will be settled on the next goalscorer and correct score of the game. If the correct score is 1-0 and the goal is an own goal, corecast bets are settled as a correct score single. If a match is abandoned prior to the completion of 90 minutes and a goal has been scored, Scorecast bets are settled as first goalscorer singles. If no goal has been scored, all bets are void.
22) Season Handicap Betting
Season Handicap bets are settled by adding (or subtracting) the handicap start value to the final points total of all selections in the market at the end of the season. In the event of a tie, dead heat rules apply.
23) Season Match Betting
Season match bets are settled on which of two teams will place highest in the league at the end of the season. If teams finish level on points then the tie breaker used by the league (e.g. goal difference or head-to-head records) will decide the winner.
24) Settlement of Winners
Bets are settled at accumulative odds, palpable errors excepted, at the prices displayed at the time the bet is accepted. Odds are subject to fluctuation.
25) Staking of Bets
Enter the stake in the box at the base of each column to indicate the investment you require on each line of selections. If you use permutation, the unit stake should be written with the perm instructions alongside your selections, and the box at the base of the column left blank.
26) Time of acceptance of football bets
Bets will be accepted up to the advertised kick off time. Bets may also be accepted up to 5 minutes after kick-off time as long as a goal has not been scored, or a player sent off. Any bet accepted after the kick off where we offer betting in running, bets will stand and will be settled on the in vision price at the time of acceptance. In some matches we also offer betting in running prices on the result at 90 minutes. Normally bets are accepted up to the 88th minute, although this may change depending on the circumstances of the match. On certain occasions bets may also be taken during extra-time.
27) Time of first goal
For settlement purposes the 1st minute of the game is from 1 second to 59 seconds. The 2nd minute is from 1 minute to 1 minute 59 seconds and so on. For example, if a bet is placed on the first goal to be scored between 1 and 10 minutes and a goal is scored at 10 minutes 49 seconds, the bet is a loser as this falls within the 11 to 20 minutes time frame. If a goal is scored in injury time of the first half, the winning selection will be the 41-50mins bracket. If a goal is scored in injury time of the second half. The winning selection would be the 81-90 mins bracket. If the match is abandoned after the first goal has been scored then all bets will stand. If no goal has been scored all bets will be void.
28) Time of next home/away goal
In games played at a neutral venue, the home side will be deemed to be the first named one. For example, if an event is called ‘Holland vs Spain’, then Holland would be the ‘home’ team as they are named first and Spain would be the ‘away’ team. If a goal is scored in injury time of the first half, the winning selection will be the 41-50mins bracket. If a goal is scored in injury time of the second half. The winning selection would be the 81-90mins bracket.
29) Time of next match goal
If a goal is scored in injury time of the first half, the winning selection will be the 41-50mins bracket. If a goal is scored in injury time of the second half, the winning selection would be the 81-90mins bracket
30) Timing of corners and penalty kicks
For settlement purposes, the timing of any corners and penalty kicks will be based upon the time the kick was taken and not the time at which it was awarded.
31) Total Corners
Bets settled on the total corners TAKEN, not awarded. Should a match be abandoned bets will stand if the ‘over’ total has been exceeded otherwise all bets will be void.
32) Total Goals
On this list customers can predict how many goals will be scored in the individual games featured. Each match has three possible outcomes: 1 or less goals, exactly 2 goals or 3 or more goals. Should a match be abandoned before 90 minutes playing time has elapsed, that selection will be void unless 3 or more goals have already been scored at the time of abandonment.
33) Total Premiership / FA Cup/ Champions League Goals
Bets are settled on the total amount of goals scored in the matches quoted on the
days stated. Should a match be postponed then a total of 2 goals will be
allotted for that game. If a match is abandoned then either 2 goals or the
total goals at the time of abandonment will be awarded (whichever is greater).
Should there be 3 or more postponed/abandoned premiership games then all bets
will be void.
34) Total Premiership / FA Cup / Champions League Goals ‘Odd or Even’
Bets are settled on the total amount of goals scored in the matches quoted on the days stated. Should a match be postponed then a total of 2 goals will be allotted for that game. If a match is abandoned then either 2 goals or the total goals at the time of abandonment will be awarded (whichever is greater). If there are 2 or more postponed/abandoned premiership games then all bets will be void.
35) To win both halves
The 90 minute match is treated as two separate 45 minute ‘mini-matches’ and
therefore your selection must score more goals than the other team in each of
the two halves. For example, if your selection scores in the first half of a
match and the match finishes 1-0, although the first half was won 1-0, the
score in the second 45 minutes was effectively 0-0 and therefore a draw. If
this occurs, only the first half is considered to have been ‘won’ and therefore
bets would be losers.
Should a match be abandoned ALL bets will be void.
36) Top League/Tournament Goalscorer
Bets placed on a player to be the top scorer in a given league are based on regular season games only. Any goals scored in subsequent play-off games do not count for betting purposes. Once a player is named in the squad and has the opportunity to play in the league that season, bets will stand. Bets placed on a player to be the top scorer in a given tournament will stand as long as the player is named in the squad and has the opportunity to play in the named tournament. If more than one player finishes on the same number of goals, then dead heat rules apply. Goals scored in Extra-Time will count, but goals scored within Penalty Shootouts will not count
37) Total goals odd or even
Bets are settled on whether the total number of goals scored within 90 minutes, will be an odd or an even number. Extra-time and penalties do not count. If the total number of goals in a game is zero (i.e. the final score is 0 - 0) then “Even” is considered the winning selection. This bet cannot be combined with any other bets on the same match. Should this bet be accepted in error, it will be settled by equally dividing the stake unit where the related outcomes clash.
38) Tournament Winner and Top Goalscorer
Where we offer prices for a team/country to win a tournament outright and a player to be top goalscorer, prices cannot be combined, special prices are available for this. For example a €10 double on England to win World Cup 2014 and Rooney to be top goalscorer, the prices on this would not be multiple odds; a special price for this would be available.
39) Assist Betting
A) Assisted Goals
•
Assists are awarded to the player from the goal scoring team, who makes the
last touch to the goalscorer.
• In the event of a penalty or free kick, the player earning the penalty or
free kick gets an assist if a goal is directly scored. However, you CANNOT
assist your own goal.
• For any assists disputes, bets will be based on the decision of the Press
Association (PA) immediately after the match is finished.
• Unlike First Goalscorer betting, own goals DO count
in Assist Betting.
B) Unassisted Goals
•
Winner of the First Assist market will be the player who is deemed to have
assisted the 1st goal of the game, not the player to have the first assist of
the game.
• If there is no assist for the 1st goal, 'First Goal Unassisted' will be
deemed the winner. Bets will not roll onto the player who assists the 2nd Goal.
• In matches ending 0:0, 'No Goal' will be deemed the winner.

1) Betting in Play
All floorball bets in running will be settled on 60 minutes play unless specifically stated otherwise. When scores are displayed in running, every effort is made to ensure the accuracy of the score and game situation. However no liability is accepted for incorrect information displayed. If a match is abandoned all bets will be void, except for those markets which have been unconditionally determined. If an official result is declared then all bets stand.
2) Period Betting - '20 mins only’
Each 20 minute period is treated as a separate ‘mini-match’ and therefore your selection must score more goals than the other team within the chosen period to win. Any existing score in the match is not carried forward, and so for the purposes of Period Betting, every period is considered as starting 0-0, as no goals have yet been scored in the period. For example, if your selected team wins a match 2-0, scoring in the 1st and 3rd periods, the period scores would be 1-0, 0-0 and 1-0. If you had bet on the team to win “2nd Period Betting - 20 mins only”, although your team won the match, the winning selection for Period 2 would actually be “Draw”.
GAELIC FOOTBALL AND HURLING (GAA)
All bets will be settled on the official result as declared by the relevant
governing body.
If a match is no longer being played at the venue advertised, bets will stand

original county.

All bets on postponed matches will stand provided the match is rearranged and
played within 48 hours of the original scheduled start time.
Where a match is postponed and not played within 48 hours of the original
scheduled start time, all bets will be void.
Should a match be abandoned prior to completion, all markets on that match will
be void, unless a definitive result for that market has already been determined
prior to abandonment (e.g. First Goalscorer and First
Score in Game).
Any bet reduced by an abandoned, postponed or re-arranged match will stand on
the remaining selections.
Match Betting –
All bets will be settled on 60/70 minutes play respectively at the prices
advertised.
The term 60/70 minutes play refers to the period of play which includes time
added by the match officials for stoppages, but not scheduled extra time if
played.
Any subsequent enquiries into the match result or later match disqualification
will be ignored for settlement of match bets which will be settled on that days
match result.
Handicap Betting –
GAA Handicap betting is in the form of a whole-point handicap (e.g. +/-
3points, +/- 7 points, etc.). Tie prices are also available. The winning
selection is determined by adding the handicap to final points score.
A typical market will be:
Kerry (+3pts) 5/6 or Dublin (-3pts) 5/6.
If the final score in this fixture was Kerry 1 goal and 10 points (total points
= 13) lose to Dublin 1 goal and 12 points (total points = 15), to determine the
handicap result simply add 3pts to Kerry’s final score.
This leaves the handicap result as Kerry 16 points, Dublin 15 points so “Kerry
(+3pts)” would be the winning selection.
All bets are settled on the official result at the end of normal time
(including any injury time).
Extra time does not count unless specifically stated otherwise
Half Time/Full Time –
Bets on this market are settled on the result at half time and the result at

match he is deemed a non-runner for the First Goalscorer
market only.
Own goals do not count.
In the case of an own goal being scored first bets will be settled on the 2nd goalscorer.
In the case of the last goal being an own goal bets will be settled on the previous
goal.
If the only goal scored within normal time is an Own Goal, then No Goalscorer will be deemed to have been the successful
outcome.
If a match is abandoned before the first goal is scored, all bets are void.
This includes “No Goalscorer” bets as these are
offered on the basis of the entire game being completed.
If a match is abandoned after the first goal is scored, all bets stand.
Where there is a dispute concerning who scored the goals in a match, bets will
be settled based on the result published by the official governing body
immediately after the match is finished.
Any subsequent corrections or amendments to this result will not apply for
settlement purposes.
We try to offer a price on every player taking part in a particular game to
score the first goal. If you wish to bet on a player who is not displayed our
list, please ask a member of staff.
Winning Margin Betting –
Winning margin betting is from scratch.
All bets are settled on the final result at the end of normal time (including
any injury time). Extra time does not count.
The result of this market is determined by the winning team’s points superiority. (1 goal = 3 points).
For example, if the result of a game is Cork 1 goals and 6 points (total points
= 9) beat Tyrone 1 goal and 3 points (total points = 6) then Cork have won by 3
points.
Total Match Points –
All bets are settled on the final result at the end of normal time (including
any injury time).
Extra time does not count.
The result of this market is determined by the final points
total of the game. (1 goal = 3 points)
For example, if the result of a game is Cork 1 goal and 11 points (total points
= 14) lose to Tyrone 2 goals and 10 points (total points = 16) then the total
score in game is 30 points.

• Football – A point from placed ball means direct from a penalty, free, sideline ball or 45

First Scoring Play will stand, as there will be a definitive result for the
market.
In any scenario where a game is not completed, the Last Scoring Play market
will be void.

governing body at the time of the trophy presentation. Any subsequent
disqualification or amendment to the result will not be considered for
settlement purposes.
Outright Betting –
The result of any playoff where required is taken into account. Dead-heat rules
will apply to the Place part of Each-way bets.
In the event of a play-off, the result of the play-off will determine the
winner of the tournament. If three or more contestants take part, such a
play-off has the sole purpose of deciding the winner of the tournament, and the
relative finishing positions of unsuccessful contestants is not affected for Outright,
Match, or Group bets.
When more than one player shares the same lowest score in a tournament and
there is no play-off, win and place bets will be settled under normal dead heat
rules.
For each way bets dead heat rules apply. For example, if each-way terms quoted
for a tournament are for the first 4 places, then 3 players tying for third
place will be deemed to have dead-heated for third, fourth and fifth place with
1/3 stake lost and 2/3 stake settled at full place odds for each way bets on
those players.
In a dead heat the stake on a selection is divided by the number of runners
involved in the dead heat. The full odds are then paid to the divided stake
with the remainder of the stake being lost.
Outright markets, including Top Nationality, Match & Group Betting, are
offered on a non-runner no bet basis, and may be subject to a Rule 4 deduction
in the event of a significant withdrawal.

Should 36 holes not be completed then all bets on that event will be void

player withdrawing after having teed off then stakes will be lost on outright,
group, match or 18 hole betting.
Ante-Post bets on any player who takes part in a qualifying tournament but
fails to qualify for the main tournament will be classed as losers.
Should there be no further play by any player after a bet has been struck that
bell will be void.
Match/Group Betting –
Group Betting markets are offered on a non-runner no bet basis, and may be
subject to a Rule 4 deduction in the event of a significant withdrawal,
and dead heat rules may apply.
Tournament match and group betting will be settled on the player achieving the
highest placing at the end of the tournament including play-off holes if
played.
This will apply, even if both (or all) players ‘miss the cut’; if one player in
a match bet misses the cut then the other player is deemed the winner. If both
players miss the cut then the lowest score after the cut has been made will
determine settlement.
If a player in a match bet is disqualified, or withdraws after starting, either
prior to the completion of two rounds or after both players have made the cut,
then the other player is deemed the winner.
If a player is disqualified during either the 3rd or 4th rounds, when the other
player in the match bet has already missed the cut, then the disqualified
player is deemed the winner.
Official tour site results at the time of trophy presentation are used for
settlement purposes (subsequent disqualification or amendment after this time
does not count).
All bets relating to an individual’s specific round(s) will be settled on the
number of strokes registered on the score-card as signed by that competitor
upon the completion of play.

are completed. The winner will be the player in the lead at the end of the last
completed round.

players have an identical score in the round, the result will be a tie between
those players and dead heat rules will apply.

loser.

the highest points scorer during the round is deemed
the winner.

is affected by this change.
Make/Miss The Cut –
A tournament cut must be applied for bets to stand.
In the case of a Tournament where a multiple cut system is in place, settlement
will be defined by a player playing or not playing in the next Round following
the 1st official cut.
Players who are disqualified or withdraw before they complete 36 holes are
deemed to have missed the cut.
Players who are disqualified or withdraw subsequent to posting a score equal to
or better than the official cut mark (after they have completed 36 holes) will
be deemed to have made the cut.
Hole In One –
Market relates to a hole in one being recorded in the designated Rounds of a
specified tournament.
In the event of adverse weather affecting the tournament, bets will stand as
